Youth Development Program
The Youth Development Program is the core initiative of the Soul Surfers Foundation. It supports children and youth from underserved communities through surfing, physical training, and values-based education.

By combining sport with emotional development and life skills, the program creates a safe, structured environment where participants build confidence, discipline, resilience, and a sense of belonging — both in and out of the water.
This program serves as the foundation for all other initiatives within Soul Surfers Foundation.

Surf Education and Ocean Safety
Surf education is the foundation of our program. Participants receive structured surf instruction combined with ocean awareness and safety education.
This component focuses not only on learning how to surf, but on developing respect for the ocean, understanding environmental conditions, and practicing safe behavior in and around the water.

Physical Training & Swimming Development
Physical training supports participants’ overall health, performance, and injury prevention. Sessions are designed to complement surf training and build strong physical foundations.
In addition to surf-specific conditioning, participants take part in pool-based training to learn how to swim, improve technique, and increase water confidence — an essential life skill.

Emotional Intelligence & Self-Development
Emotional and personal development is a core element of the Youth Development Program. Through guided sessions, participants learn essential life skills that support healthy decision-making and personal growth.
Topics are age-appropriate and delivered in a safe, respectful environment.
